We are a small business that started with an interest in helping friends and neighbors increase their well-being through the positive health benefits of our specially handcrafted tea. We began pairing tea leaves with other flavors from the garden such as mint, ginger, citrus leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, jasmine, chamomile, mango, rose hips, lemon grass and other herbs and spices. As we’ve expanded throughout the years, we’ve made it our mission to source from family farmers who can not only help produce some of the finest ingredients for our products, but also benefit their community by doing so. 

All of Clara’s Tea Garden blends are made from organic ingredients. Our plants are free from pesticides and other harmful chemicals.

We have a strong sense of responsibility as tea producers and consumers to support farmers, their families and their communities as we all work together towards a more sustainable future for the entire global tea industry. We are proud to be part of this effort.

The benefit of tea balls over conventional tea bags is the taste.  Tea balls utilize the entire dried tea leaf while conventional tea bags use the CTC (crush/tear/curl) method, and then chop up or shred the leaves for packaging.  With tea balls, you get the maximum flavor of full leaf loose tea without any of the mess.  The tea ball was invented 100 years ago by iconic entrepreneur, Clara Ford.

Research shows that the caffeine in the leaves are released by heat into the water within the first few seconds. Pour hot water over a tea ball until barely covered and let steep 30 seconds.  Discard this little bit of water, and then brew as usual.
